Round Prairie Cemetery is located in section 21 of the town of Metomen on Highway 49
and just north of the 1891 District 6 schoolhouse. It was purchased October 24, 1859 from Somers Sherwood for $1 for 1/2 acre. The first burial, in 1846, was Samuel Henry Culbertson, age 1. Many of the stones have been destroyed.
