    Fought in War of 1812, including battle of Horse Shoe Bend. Kids got land in Green Co, MO for service. Married 3 times, but only a few of the younger kids seem to have gone west. They were young when he died, as they were raised by their uncle Robert in Missouri. When Robert died, his children went to live with his oldest son William in Buffalo, Dallas Co, MO, so John's children may have followed.

    John Morrow acquired 50 acres in Warren County, TN in 1825, 25 acres in 1826, and 12.5 acres in 1830.

    {Birthdate for Robert's son, not N.B.'s father. Link not confirmed. 5/21/94. After debate on Morrow-L and posted info re Robert and John, it seems the concensus that this John is Robert?s son and DG and NB?s father. Little known about the wife. Questionable about whether Robert?s lineage as traced by Ray is the correct one, however. 8/20/99. DNA testing shows a match between descendants of this man and those of Hugh Morrow, another son of Robert, which further supports that the line back to Robert m. Elizabeth Shaw is correct. 2004.}

    One source says he had a son Cicero, but no record otherwise exists. He may have been the son who died on the trip to California in the 1840s.

    1820 Warren Co, TN: No John. Father Robert: 100111-01010. He could be one of the sons age 26-45. The younger one is probably his 19-year old brother. His 25-year-old brother Robert is already married, but is not listed in Warren Co.
    1830 Warren Co, TN: Brother Hugh on p. 353 is the only Morrow in Warren Co. John Moore is listed on p. 375. There are John Morrows in Franklin, Giles, Grainger, Greene, Jackson, Knox, Lawrence, McNairy, Monroe and Wayne counties. There are no Roberts.
