    Owned Noland's Ferry - located below 'Noland's Island'at the mouth of the Monocacy on the Potomack River~Philip, married Elizabeth Awbrey, daughter of Francis AwbreyPhilip remained in Loudon County, Va. and ran Noland's Ferry~In 1748 he is living on the Potomac River on Awbrey land~In 1749, he petitioned the Assembly for a licensein the County of Fairfax, now Loudon County~In 1752, Loudon County, appointed Philip Noland surveyorof the road from Great Limestone to Noland Ferry~Deed records reflect that Philip of Loudon bought Noland Ferry landfrom Mary Noland who had married an Awbrey~In 1769, Philip of Loudon was on the bench as a judge in Loudon County Court~In 1777, Patrick Henry appointed Philip Noland as Sheriff of Loudon County, Va.~In 1778, Philip Noland conveyed ferry lands to son, Thomas Noland~In 1794, Philip Noland die

      By the year 1748, ĞuğPhilip Ğ/uğ and his wife were living on ĞuğAwbrey land Ğ/uğ located on the Potomac above the Monocacy and opposite the mouth of the Maryland Tuscarora.
