  • Note: Mary Bartley was born at sea and arrived at Port Jackson on 21st July 1838 with her parents as free settlers, aboard the "Magistrate". They had sailed from Cork in Ireland on 8th April 1838. The "Magistrate" weighed 518 tons and the voyage took 135 days.

      Mary signed her name with a mark. Her place of residence was stated as Thoco, near Nimmitabel.
