    EDEN-- Daisy Carter Cooke, 96, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, Jan. 24, 2005, at Morehead Nursing Center.


    Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lawson Cemetery.


    Mrs. Cooke was born in Mayodan to the late Winston M. and Ida Sue Crews Carter She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills.


    Surviving are daughters, Faye Wyatt Enzor of Sumter, S.C., and Barbara Cooke Saul of Eden; sister Lillian Soots of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Robin Saul of Greensboro, Vanessa Wyatt Ingram of Eden and Suzette Cooke Hunt of Minneapolis, Minn.; four great-grandchildren, Adam Saul, Jordan Saul, Whitney Khattack and Chris Hunt; three great-great-grandchildren, Carter Hunt, Gabriel Khattack and Nathan Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews.


    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ossie Clarence Cooke.


    The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of Barbara Saul, 1301 Hillside Drive, Eden.

    Daisy Carter Cooke

    EDEN - Daisy Carter Cooke, of Eden, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, January 24, 2005 at Morehead Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lawson Cemetery.
    Mrs. Cooke was born in Mayodan, N.C. to the late Winston M. and Ida Sue Crews Carter. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills.
