WALLACE "MUNROE" STRAIN
It is with great love and pride that we celebrate the lif e of (Wallace) Munroe Strain. Munroe was born April 9th , 1918 on Manitoulin Island and passed away in his 92nd y ear, on April 29th, 2009, with his loving family by his si de. Munroe is predeceased by his wife Catherine ("Blondie" ) nee Ross, his father, William, his mother, Martha ("Bird ie"), brothers, Billie, Dave, Dick and Art, and his sister s, Lenna, Ilene and Helen. He is survived by his six child ren, Ross (Sheri) Strain, Sharron (Frank) Bayley, David (S usan) Strain, Lynne (Jim) Sulyma, Debbie (Darcy) Warren an d Kami (Dean) Elvidge, eighteen grandchildren and fourtee n great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to c elebrate the life of Munroe Strain on Saturday, 9th, 200 9 at 2 pm at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 1 9 Moose Road, (corner of McLaughlin and Moose Road) Lindsa y, Ontario. Munroe's family would like to give special tha nks to all of the dedicated and caring staff at both Cares sant Care Nursing Home (Mary Street) as well as those at th e Ross Memorial Hospital.
