    Great sorrow came to the home of Thomas Alfred Vanmeer earl y on Tuesday morning, Oct. 8th when his beloved life partne r passed to her reward. The deceased had not been well fo r some months, but it was only on Thursday last that she wa s obliged to remain in her room.
    Mrs. Vanmeer whose maiden name was Marthta (sic) Adair, wa s born in Osprey Tph. near Rob Roy, seventy-two years ago . She spent her girlhood there and was married in her old h ome. Forty years ago Mr. and Mrs. Vanmeer moved to the Popl ar Sideroad, where they have since resided. Besides her hus band, one son, James, mourns her death. One brother John Ad air and one sister, Mrs. Boutell, are in the west. Anothe r sister, Mrs. Houghton resides in town.
    The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 10th a t two o'clock and was conducted by Rev. H. O. Eastman of th e Baptist Church. Interment was made in the Baptist cemeter y.
    Mrs. Vanmeer was very quiet home loving wife and mother an d in her family circle and was deeply and sincerely loved a nd to them as to her friends her passing is the cause of gr eat sorrow. To the bereaved the sympathy of the community i s extended.-Collingwood Bulletin
    Mrs. Vanmeer was sister-in-law of Mr. W. H. Vanmeer of Gor e Bay.
