VICTORIA PITAWANAKWAT (STONE)
In loving memory of Victoria Pitawanakwat, July 13, 1937 t o December 6,2003.
Victoria Pitawanakwat, a resident of Wikwemikong, passed aw ay at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, on Satu rday, December 6, 2003 at the age of 66 years. She was bor n in Little Current, daughter of the late George and Seraph ine (Spanish) Pitawanakwat. Victoria was a postal worker fo r 29 years. She enjoyed puzzles and collected spoons whil e traveling and was especially fond of cows. She will be sa dly missed by her family and all who knew her. Surviving ar e common-law husband Jarvis McCumber, sons George (Richard ) Stone, friend Henrietta, John Stone, friend Pearl of M'Ch igeeng and Jeffrey Stone, friend Margaret Anne. Proud grand mother of Johnny Stone, Kristy Stone, Timmy Stone, Tito Smi th, Jeremy Smith, Tara Stone and Sara Stone and great grand children Katie Summer Seraphine Stone and Erica Stone. Als o survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siste r Mary Liscumb (Harry), Mabel Corbiere (Paul) and Archie Pi tawanakwat.
Friends called at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah on Monday an d Tuesday evening. The funeral mass was held at Holy Cros s Mission on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 with Fr. Dougal s McCarthy as celebrant. Cremation to follow.
