    A long time resident of Sheguindah, Mr. Andrew Stringer c ame to his final rest on August 4, 1973. He died at St. Jos eph's Hospital in Little Current after a lengthy illness.
    Andy was the son of Henry and Eliza (Burnett) Stringer. H e was born in Howland Township and spent all of his 70 year s a resident of Sheguiandah. Andy is survived by two sister s, Alice (Mrs. Richards) of Oro RR#1, and Jessie (Mrs. Fois y) of Toronto, and two brothers Wellington of Georgetown an d Russell of Hamilton.
    Andy enlisted in April 1942 at No. 2 District Depot, Sudb ury, Ontario but was discharged on June 13, 1942 when he wa s unable to meet the required military physical standards.
    The funeral service was held on August 6th at 2 pm at th e funeral home with interment at the Green Bay Cemetery. R ev. L. Manley officiated at the service.
    Pallbearers were Andrew Doan, Arnold Burnett, Dave String er, Marshall Garbutt, William Omnet and Donald Squire.
    Many friends and relatives from Sheguiandah and surroundi ng area were in attendance as well as many friends and patr ons from Bayside cottages; all from various parts of Canad a and USA.
