Mrs. A.B. Bateman Dies in Toronto
The sad news announcing the death of Mrs. A. B. B ateman was received by her family here on Tuesday night. Mr s. Bateman who has been ill for some time and a patient i n the Lockwood Clinic, Toronto, died Tuesday, January 12th , at 10:40 p.m. She underwent an operation Sund
ay last, but failed to rally.
With her were her daughter, Mrs. Helen Woolley, h er son, Austin, and her daughter-in-law, Lois.
Mrs. Bateman, who was 56 years and 3 months of age, has bee n a resident of Little Current all her life. Left to mour n their loss are her husband, five daughters and one son. T wo daughters are at home while the other daughters are marr ied. She also leaves one brother, Mr. Wilber Eade, of town.
Funeral announcements will be made later but in a ll possibility will take place Friday afternoon.

The funeral of Mrs. Phyllis Bateman who died at t he Lockwood Clinic in Toronto took place from her late resi dence Friday, January 17th.
A large gathering was assembled offering their last tribut e to an esteemed friend.
Rev. Mr. A. W. Shaw conducted the last rites and intermen t took place in Mountain View Cemetery. The pall-bearers we re Fred Harding, Max Collar, W.M.Vanzant, Everett Ferguson , Thos. Abatossaway and Emil Lawson.
Left to mourn their loss are, Mr. A. Bateman, Mrs . Percy Woolley of Alliston, Mrs. John E. Dunn of Little Cu rrent, Mrs. J. Gilmore of Port Colborne, Austin, Katherine , Barbara and one brother, Mr. Wilbert Eade, all of Littl e Current.
Floral tributes were noticed from the home, the f amily, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Wooley, Mr. and M rs. Wilbert Ead e, Mr. and Mrs. John Dunn, the Dunn family, Mr. and Mrs. Ha rding and Mrs. Parshuski, Separate School pupils and teache rs.
