"High School Girl is Victim of Typhoid --
Leta May Willard, 17-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Willard of St. Louis street, died Saturday night, after an illness of three weeks of typhoid.
Miss Willard was a student of the West Plains high school, and would have been a senior this year. She came to West Plains with her parents from Rover several years ago.
She was an active worker in the First Methodist church, and was attending the Epworth League Institute in Carthage when she became ill.
Miss Willard was the fourth member of the family to have the typhoid, two sisters and a small brother being also ill with it. However, their condition is not serious."
