    In 1900 he was living with son Rufus in Oregon Co, Moore twp:

    The South Missourian newspaper, Oct 9, 1902:
    "Uncle Ben Huddleston, living near Thomasville, was in town Monday attending court. Uncle Ben will be 86 years old in Feb. 1903. He has lived in this county ever since he was 4 years old, making 82 years; that is, he lived in the same house when this county was part of Wayne, part of Ripley, and cut off and made Oregon. He has 16 children, 73 grandchildren and 33 great-granchildren, and looks like he might live to see a genreation or two of great-great-grandchildren."

    He died at 87 years old.
    The Oregon County South Missourian newspaper, June 25, 1903, has this article about Ben:
    "Uncle Ben Huddleston, whilst not the oldest man living in the county, has lived in the county longer than any other person. He lived in the same house first when this was Wayne County, second Ripley County, and then Oregon County in 1845. Having lived in the same house on the same ground in 3 different counties. He was born 10 Feb. 1817 in Smith county, Tenn. His father settled here Oct 6, 1821 on Eleven Point River 3 miles below Thomasville. Mr. Huddleston is the father of 16 children, 5 boys and 3 girls are living. He has 74 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Uncle Ben is a man after the president's own heart. He has lived, multiplied and replenished the earth..."
