Melissa: The "Andrus Family Tree" is probably "Genealogical History of John and Mary Andrews who settled in Farmington, Conn. 1640..." by Alfred Andrews, 1872. It's expensive - c. $100-120 - through Higginson Books (they have a website). It's often available in genealogical libraries; I'm not sure if LDS has a microfilm. On p. 287: "Grove Andrews [the author pretty much uses ANDREWS for everyone, even if ANDRUS seems to be what the subjects used/preferred], fifth son of Jonathan, Sr. of Simsbury, Conn., and his wife Sophia Lawrence, of the same town; born 21st September, 1800, at Simsbury; married 14 October, 1832, Sarah Gearhart, born 26th April, 1809, at Allegany County, N. Y. He lives at Nunda, McHenry County, Ill., and is a farmer. He removed from Simsbury, Conn., to Livingston County, N. Y., in 1831. THEIR CHILDREN [Andrews has DOBs for all; I just copied Lodema; I can send the rest if you like] Orestes G. Onley Lloyd [Andrews says on p.496 Onley was one of the contributors to the genealogy] Sally Sarah L. Anor S. John Frederic [sic] Lodema Z., born 8th December, 1846 [Andrews has no further info on her] George Thompson

Note: (Research):1877 Directory of McHenry Co., Ill LDS FICHE 6334302 Has an Andrus family also from CN as ws refered to by Olive Mortenesen. Grove Andus m. Sarah Geirhardt of Allegany Co., NY on 14 Oct 1832 Grove was born in Hartford Conn 21 Sept 1800 Moved to Livingston Co., NY in 1831 then to McHenry Co November of 1846. States he owns 80 Acres values @ $45 per acre in SW sec 15. They had a Nunda Post Office. They had eight children, 3 living as of 1877.
Grove Andus was in Broolyn Twp in the 1850 Census bought land in Ill August 6th 1846
I have found a BLM record in Adams County, Wisconsin for Lucy Andrews, Sect Nr: 19, Township 17N, Range 7E, signed 1858. Another for Adin J. Aldrich Sect Nr: 20, Township 17N, Range 7E, signed 1856
Calvin Andrews/Andrus was the son of Hiram and Lucy (Pratt) Andrews/Andrus. Sally Ann Aldrich was the daughter of Adin/Aden and Hannah (Rifle) Aldrich. Calvin and Sally married at Adams County, WI March 4, 1862.
Could anyone possibly do an 1860 census lookup or cemetery lookup for me to verify if this is the right Andrews/Andrus family? Especially Hiram and Lucy.
I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks very much.
