    Here's transcript of a will for Benjamin Hays in which he leaves property to his son-in-law John Martin, who was married to his daughter Elizabeth, and subsequent to their death he requests that the property go to his grandsons Stephen Wilson Martin and Alexander John Martin. Also at the end it lists Stephen Wilson Martin's sisters names. See below.

    to her 2 youngest daughters...Prudence to Elizabeth and Sarah to Nancyan

    to son James $325 cash and horse called Bunch

    to son Joseph a plantation on Mill Branch purchased of Thompson Barfield

    to son William a Negro boy named Evan also a Negro man called Tom... William
    is to pay Jesse Elvington $100 out of the value of Tom.

    to son Levy a Negro boy called Jacob

    to John Martin $1.00... his wife Elizabeth Martin one Negro girl called
    Murear? to labor and to do for her only for her lifetime and then to her
    heirs of her body...also land bought from Dew Rogers to her sons Alexander
    John and Stephen Wilson.

    to my wife Elizabeth a Negro girl Charlotte... wife's property to go to son
    Jesse at her death...

    I have given my dau Sally who intermarried to Samuel Smith a full share
    previous to this.
