Okay, so I did a little more researching today.  I happened to find two 1860 Census records showing a Helen Allen & W.P. Allen of Horry County, SC.  Both Census records list almost exactly the same information, but there are slight differences.  The info is as follows:

1860 Census - Horry County, Conway, South Carolina - Household #819:

The similarities between the two are amazing!  I can't seem to figure out if they are indeed the same family or if perhaps they are two separate families with almost the same exact information.  Anyway just thought I'd let you know.  Once again, if you happen to find any info on this family please let me know.  Thanks.
