Bert F. Gafford, 88, of Center, passed away Saturday June 16, 2007 at Pine Grove Nursing Home.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 19, 2007 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Smith and Bro. John Bender officiating. Burial will follow at Newburn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday June 18, 2007 anytime after 11:00 a.m. family will be here from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home.

He was born June 6, 1919 to John and Lucretia (Payne) Gafford. He was a member of First Baptist Church. For many years he worked for Lunsford Buick here in Center as an auto mechanic. He also worked and had an auto repair shop of his own.

He is survived by:

Son: J.T. Gafford & wife Tina of Lawton, OK
Grandchildren: Jo Lea Froehlich & husband Kelly of The Woodlands, John Gafford of Tyler, Jeanne Preast & husband Glynn of Lawton, OK
Great Grandchildren: Isaac Preast, Joshua Preast, Collin Froehlich, and Kyndall Froehlich
Step Children: Joel & Dorothy Murphree of Shelbyville, J.T. & Linda Adams of Lufkin
