    Mrs. Elizabeth Netteland, 95, a longtime resident of Thief River Falls, died Wednesday at the Oakland Park Nursing home. Mrs. Netteland was knows as the ?Lefse Lady? for her many years of making and contributing lefse to the residents of CNC and in nursing homes.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Netteland were held Saturday at 10:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Berton Hushagen officiating. Mrs. Dorothy Larson was the organist and Mrs. William Penning the soloist. Interment was in the Greenwood cemetery. The Green Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

    Pallbearers were William Penning, Harvey R. Hanson, Clarence Isaacson, Donald Barron, Duane Noel and John Besserud.

    Mrs. Netteland, the former Elizabeth Foss, was born January 1, 1888 in Hardanger, Norway to Rasmus and Sigrid Reistveidt Foss. As a young girl, she immigrated to America with her parents and two sisters. They settled in Thief River Falls where she attended school and grew to womanhood.

    She was married August 22, 1908 at St. Hilaire to George Netteland. They lived in rural Pennington County and at Strandquist, Holt and Oklee before settling in Thief River Falls in 1940. Since then, she had made her home here.

    She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and its Golden Years.

    She is survived by one son, Loyal Netteland, Holland, NY; two daughters: Mrs. Angeline Buerkle, New York Mills, and Mrs. Alvin (Eleanor) Dicken, Thief River Falls; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one sister: Mrs. Hilda Nelson, Little Falls.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, who died January 20, 1981; a son Robert, her parents, and a sister, Mrs. Gust Schilbred.
