    Mrs. Martine Amundson, one of the early pioneers of this county, passed away Tuesday, August 9, at her family home in town of Rocksbury at the ripe old age of 88 years. She was a native of Norway and came to Rocksbury township together with her husband in 1882, where she lived on the family homestead until her death. Her husband and only son, Jacob, died several years ago. The only daughter, Mrs. Martin Arveson, lives near Wanke, in the eastern pat of the county.

    The funeral took place Saturday, August 12, interment being made in the St. Paul [sic] cemetery at Rocksbury. Rev. Grimsrud of St. Hilaire officiated at the funeral.
