    Mabel Landman 86, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, with Rev. Rick Hensel officiating. Casket bearers include Ralph Landman, Jr; Keith Landman, Fred Landman III; Kevin Osmondson, Ryan Osmondson, Tyler Landman, and Cory Sandberg. Honorary casket bearers include all of Mabel?s Granddaughters and Great Grandchildren. Interment will follow at the Immanuel Cemetery, Wylie Township in Red Lake County.

    Mabel Caroline Iverson was born on March 16, 1920 to Bennie and Molly (Onweiter) Iverson in Calvin, N.D. She was baptized in her Lutheran faith in Calvin, N.D., and attended school there, until her parents moved to St. Hilaire. This is where she finished her education.  She was also confirmed in the Lutheran church in St. Hilaire. Mabel was united in marriage to Frederick Wilhelm Landman on December 2, 1938 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wylie, with Rev. Paul Bergdorf officiating.  They moved to Red Lake Falls in 1960 after farming most of their married lives.

    Mabel started working at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, on September 9, 1963 until her retirement on September 9, 1999. In her past time, Mabel made many crafts, including shawls, blankets, and dolls for her family and many others that enjoyed receiving her crafts.

    Mabel is survived by three sons,  William, Ralph (Carla), Fred (Janice) and 1 daughter, Lorraine Benoit; son-in-law, Ron Osmundson, all of Red Lake Falls; 12 grandchildren;  21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Fred on October 15, 1971; parents, two daughters, Marie Carol Landman and Betty Lou Osmundson;  a granddaughter; two sisters, Gladys M. Slay and Ida Mae Nelson; two brothers, Walter and Clarence Iverson; and son-in-law, Robert ?Bob? Benoit.
