Coffin Resident Here 15 Years Called Mrs. George Coffin, age 63, died Sunday, March 16, at the family home at 1004 Lake Street, death being due to a stroke of apoplexy after an illness lasting a month. Deceased was born in Michigan December 27, 1860. Her maiden name was Carrie Ward and she was married at Greenville, Mich., to George Coffin 45 years ago, January 1, 1878. For 30 years thereafter Mr. And Mrs. Coffin and their family lived in Michigan. They came to Bonner county about 15 years ago and since then have lived at various times at Careywood, at Cocolalla and here. Mrs. Coffin is survived by her husband, by two sons, Fred Coffin of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Clare Coffin of Sandpoint, and by two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Willoughby of Walla Walla, Washington, and Mrs. Hazel Morse of Mt. Vernon, Wash. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers, all of who reside on the coast. The sisters are Mrs. Mary Richardson and Mrs. Sadie Winters. The brothers are Harry Vene and Carl Ward. Funeral services were held at the chapel of the L.G. Moon undertaking parlors Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock. Mrs. Coffin was a veteran member of the Christian church and the funeral sermon for her was delivered by Rev. Percy Simpson of the Sandpoint Christian church. The remains were taken to Westmond for interment.

The body of Mrs. Carrie Coffin wife of George Coffin 1004 Lake Street was taken to Westmond today for Burial. Mrs. Coffin died Sunday following a stroke of paralysis several months ago. She was 63 years of age and had been a resident of Bonner county for 15 years. She leaves a husband, one son and three daughters.
Articles were found in the Coffin Family Bible, which belonged to Harriett Coffin.
