"Mr. Covell was born Dec. 25, 1871, in Cattaraugus county, New York. He came to Washington and settled in the Calispell Valley during the winter of 1892 and has resided here since continuously, engaged in farming and lumbering. On May 31st, last year, his right leg was broken near the hip when a log rolled onto him, from which injury he never recovered, having been in hospitals in Newport and Spokane since that time. He is survived by a brother, J. J., and a sister, Mrs. R. H. Danforth, both residents of the Calispell Valley.
