    Earl Lee Lupei
    Earl Lee Lupei, age 79 of Plano, IL passed away on Friday, September 29, 2006 at his home. He was born on December 22, 1926 at the family home in Plano, IL, the son of Stephen and Mena (Roska) Lupei.
    Mr. Lupei was united in marriage on April 17, 1947 in Plano, IL to the former Joyce E. Harper. Earl was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
    Earl was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plano in Plano, IL. He was proud to have served his country in the Merchant Marines. Mr. Lupei was the former owner and operator of Plano Glass and Home Improvement in Plano, IL. He was a former member of the Plano Planning Commission. Earl at one time taught Building Trades Class at Plano High School and with his students helped to build both the bleachers and score board at the High School. He enjoyed riding his motor scooter around town with his dog in the Basket. Earl also enjoyed having coffee with his friends down-town.
    He is survived by his former wife and care giver, Joyce Lupei, the mother of his five children, Tom (Lynn) Lupei of Pinehurst, NC, Roger (Pamela) Lupei of Oak Park, IL, Becky (Don) Runkle of Oswego, IL, Gary A. (Celeste) Lupei of San Diego, CA, and Pattie (Bill) DeBusk of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, Brian (Ellen) Lupei, Zachary Lupei, and Madeline Lupei; his brother, Samuel (Joyce) Lupei of Plainfield, IL; his sisters, Mena Moore of Aiken, SC, and Eleanor Wetzel of Plano, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Mena Lupei; his brothers, Cornelius, Steve, and Victor Lupei; and his sisters, Ann Ureke and Julie Merritt.
    Funeral services for Mr. Lupei will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL with Rev. David Kaul officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cem-etery.
    Friends may visit from 4 until 7 PM on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St. Plano, IL. Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Homes, 630-552-7211.
