DWIGHT, Ill. — Mr. Walter F. "Frank" Prindiville, 86, of Dwight, Ill., died at 9:25 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Heritage Health in Dwight, Ill.
Born Sept. 20, 1925, in Dwight, Walter was the son of Edward and Josephine O
Brien Prindiville. He married Arlene Funk on April 22, 1950 in Kinsman.
Survivors include his lovely bride of 61 years, Arlene; daughters, Linda (Danny) Rhodes of Cornell, Ill., Lu (Lee) Fatlan of Morris, Susan (Mark) Shannon of Boulder Colo.; sons, Patrick (Mary) Prindiville of Dwight, Ill., and Jerry (Angela) Prindiville of Joliet, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Kate (Paul) Sufka, Meg (Mike) Franks, Joe Prindiville, Eddie Fatlan, Caleb and Effie Shannon and Kevin and Jackson Prindiville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Dick, Joe, Leo, and Tim.
Prindiville was a graduate of Dwight High School and was a farmer in the Dwight and
Kinsman area. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dwight, belonging to the Knights of Columbus.
Frank loved his bride Arlene, his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight with prayers at 3:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight. Father James Rickey will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Ransom, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer Association.
