Helen C. Ambrus
Helen C. Ambrus, 78, of Plainfield, IL died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL. She was born on May 12, 1922 in Joliet, IL.
She is survived by her sisters Clara (Roland) Hix of North Aurora, IL Lucia (Lawrence) Link of Beaver Dam, Wis., Marie Hall of Cottonwood, AZ and one brother Ezekiel Ambruse of Minneapolis, Minn., six nephews-Melvin and Robert Arbeiter, James and Thomas Murray, Don Link, Keith Hall; five nieces-Renee Hix-Mays, Wanda Bourne, Lori Kay Gasser, Karen Lacasale, Cheryl Ambrus; numerous great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents-Gabor and Maude Ambrus; sisters-Mary Arbeiter and Ann Murray; brothers-Steve Ambrus and Gabor Ambrus Jr., also by a best friend-Helen Morel.
She was a lifelong Plainfield resident.
Active member of Plainfield United Methodist Church.
Formally worked at Owens Restaurant and Jacks Grill.
Employed past 30 years at Plainfield Enterprise.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 Joliet Road, Plainfield, IL. Funeral services Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 N. Illinois St., Plainfield, IL, Rev. Daniel Facemyer, officiating.
Interment will be in Plainfield Cemetery.
