    Born in Alabama, living in Joliet most of his life.
    Employed by Commonwealth Edison for 34 years, retiring in 1987. Member of VFW Cantigny Post #367, Knights of Columbus Council #4400, IBEW Local #176, St. Bernard's Church, Joliet.
    Korean War veteran.
    Preceded in death by his wife, Donna ( Aschenbrenner ); one sister, Josephine Jaskoviak.
    Survived by one son, Alan (Rose) of New Lenox; one daughter, Debbie (Bill) Petersen of Joliet; three grandchildren, Brad and Stephanie Ozbolt and Joe Petersen; two brothers, Yanes (Helen) of Plainfield, James (Reba) of Alabama; one sister, Mary (Joseph) Cohil of Joliet.
    Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins also survive.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bernard Church, Joliet would be appreciated. O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport Where services will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to St. Bernard's Church, Joliet for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m.
