Clementine T. Vasilovcik (nee) Pillar) 77, of Whiting, Ind., passed away Saturday, March 7, 1998, at the Community Hospital, Munster.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, John P. Vasilovcik; loving mother of Eileen Vasilovcik and John G. Vasilovcik, both of Whiting; dear sister of Ann (late Edward) Buldak and Dorothy (Harry) Magolan, both of Joliet; fond sister-in-law of Victor Skorupa of Joliet; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in deaths parents, John and Dorothy Pillar and sister Mary Agnes Skorupa; one brother, John Pillar Jr.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 1998, 9:30 a.m., Baran Funeral Home, 1235 119th St., Whiting, Ind. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting with the Rev. Anthony D. Ficko, officiating.
Interment St. John Cemetery, Hammond, Ind. Visitation at the funeral home, Thursday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Mrs. Vasilovcik was born May 30, 1920 in Habovka, Orava, Slovakia and was a resident of Whiting for the past 38 years, a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting, the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, Br. 452. (219) 659-4400
