Constance V. Penman
Constance V. Penman, 82, of Oswego, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at her home. She was born July 18, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Hage) Wagner.
Constance was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, whether planned or spur of the moment trips. She was involved with the USS Radford and attended many reunions with her husband. She also enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Constance made many friends at Rose Terrace during her 7 years making there her home. She made a point to get her family together for her giving of unique gifts and to spend time with them.
Survivors include her children: Hope Glass of Aurora, Bob (Rita) Penman of Sandwich and Ginny (Dave) Leifheit of Montgomery; grandchildren: V. Lee (Stephen) Sterling, Erik Glass, Geoff (Christy) Penman, Jason (Jennifer) Penman, Greg (Mairead) Penman, Darrell (Gina) Williams, Rick (Melissa) Leifheit and Jay (Jennifer) Leifheit; great grandchildren: Tyler Sterling, Jared Penman, Justen Penman, Julia Penman, Jodie Penman, Aidan Penman, Maeve Penman, Payton Penman, Paige Penman, Megan Leifheit, Malia Leifheit and Maxwell Leifheit.
Constance was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Penman, sister Ruth Alveshire and a son-in-law Thomas Glass.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 12 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL. Rev. Dean Greunke will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the service hour. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
