    !RESIDENCES: "Hephzibah Reform Presbyterian Church in America", LINCOLN COUNTY PIONEERS, Vol VII, #3; ; Lincoln County Genealogical Society, Fayetteville, TN; p 67-68; photocopy in poss of Pat Geary, Harrisonburg, VA; NOTE: This once flourishing congregation was situated along the Elk River, near Fayetteville....The congregation was organized June 12, 1812, as the Elk Congregation, by Rev. John Reilly of South Carolina, and Elder William Edgar, of Duck River, with eighteen members. At this time Samuel Little and Alexander Morton were chosen ruling Elders. NOTE from Phil Kelsey: According to the History of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in America, Glasgow, 1888, Samuel along with his brother-in-law, William Edgar, moved on to Randolph County, IL. There, they wer both organizing elders in a new church. This Samuel Little was married to Margaret Leiper Lacky, was born in Ireland about 1769 and had come to TN from Chester County, SC.
