I am seeking any information anyone might have on Charles O. Riddick of Gates County North Carolina. He was born on August 6, 1853 to Willie and Mary Riddick of Middle Swamp. I do know that he owned a plantation in Gates County which he inherited from his father in 1885 of which my Great-Great Grandfather, Thomas W. Riddick acted as overseer. Charles also owned property in Perquimans County North Carolina as well as in Norfolk, Virginia. As far as Court documents reveal, he never married. He died in 1903, leaving bequeaths to the following persons and institutions: Georgie Beauregard Burley, Eva Claiborne Emmerson, T. W. Riddick, Charlie Taylor, Lilly Pearl Taylor, William Nathaniel Taylor, Sue G. Harrell, Mollie Etheridge, Thomasville Baptist Orphanage and Infant Sanitarium of Norfolk, Virginia. If anyone has any information on Mr. Riddick, Please email me directly at lil134mul@aol.com Thanks!

    Charles O. Riddick died Mar. 19, 1909.
