Military Service
Note: Alexander served in Revolutionary War, enlisting as a private in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He was wounded in the head during the Battle of Kings Mountain in 1780. He also saw action in the Sanquinary Battle of Guilford Courthouse (North Carolina), which crippled the British so badly that they surrendered at Yorktown, Virginia.
