Mother: Rose Anna Amoyt VILLENEUVE b: ABT 1826 in Canada

Marriage 1 Eva DeNeige THIBODEAU b: 20 JAN 1869 in Marquette, Marquette, Michigan, USA
    • Married: 7 DEC 1885 in Lewis and Clark Co., Territory of Montana, USA
    • Marriage Ending Status: Death of one spouse
    • Note:
George & Eva had two wedding ceremonies. The first was a civil ceremony at the Helena Montana Court House 7 Dec 1885. The second was by a Catholic Priest 15 Nov 1886. Years later some of the family found the Catholic certificate, did not know about the first ceremony, and thought that the couple had to get married because they had a child. Rose was born 22 Sep 1886, she was baptised in the Cathedral of St. Helena, Helena Montana on 14 Nov. 1886, the day before her parents were married there. Perhaps the priest suggested that they have the Catholic marriage ceremony. [Certificates provided by Della Ann Mikesell Binder.]

The certificate below was printed with blank spaces that were filled out by the priest. It is in Latin. This researcher {LMW] tried to transcribe the priest's handwriting to the best of my ability, but when puzzled I placed a question mark after the word. It mentions the court house ceremony above.
