    DEATH of MRS. NEWELL F. LEE

    Emily G. Lee, aged 82, widow of Newell F. Lee, Civil War Veteran. Co. E., 60th Regiment, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Watts, of Deferiet. Mrs. Lee was a daughter of the late Robert and Emily Gibson, of North Bangor. Although almost totally bind she was always cheerful and took an interest in all that was going on . She cast her first vote for President Hoover last fall. She was endowed with a wonderful memory, being able to quote long passages which she had learned when a child or a young woman.

    She is survived by three children; Charles N. Lee, of North Clarendon, Vt, Roland G. Lee, of North Bangor, and Mrs. Daniel Watts of Deferiet, besides several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    The funeral was held at the home at Deferiet, and the Rev. W. G. Wilmshurst officiating. The body was placed in the vault at Carthage, awaiting burial which will be in the cemetery at her old home at North Bangor.
