Note: According to property records in New Hampshire, Thomas' father Robert held land there until about 1790, when they moved to Harpersfield, NY.
Listed as first permanent settler in Salem (Conneaut), Ohio, 1799 with his family and Aaron Wright. The following year Thomas' Father, Robert, and the rest of the Thomas' brothers and sisters, except for brother (Rev.) Robert, Jr., came to the new land and settled in Conneaut.
Aaron Wright married Thomas' younger sister, Anna, when Anna was 14.
According to census of 1820 records, Thomas was living in Madison, OH, and had 9 daughters in the household.
After being instrumental in the beginnings of Conneaut, OH, Thomas purchased property in Harpersfield Township, Ohio;
50-134/160 acres, Lot 76, except 4-1/2 acres - 1809, according to Jefferson, Ohio, County Recorder's Records.
