They received their first land grant 8 June 1664 in Isle of Wight Ct Va. for the transportation of 3 persons Edward Lane, John Rooks, and Edward Phillips. Their children are Elizabeth Blake Poole, Issodemias Blake Burgess, Judith W Blake Smith and William Blake who married Mary Sessoms. Thomas Died 30 January 1707/08. They Came from South West Eng. possibly Bristol Somerset Ct. Harvey A Blake
"Deed Date: 10 APR 1704 Place: Of Thomas Blake to son William Blake 100 ac. in Upper Parrish, Isle of Wight Co., VA. John Blake is either a son or a close relative. In his very limited inventory is an item belonging to William Blake dated 15 Jul 1698 , one of his daughters is mentioned in the will of Joseph Poole dated 8 Jan 1668. The implication is Elizabeth ., there is mention of a Mr. Blake decd., dated 20 Aug 1663 ! 240 acres in Isle of Wight County beg. at a br. of a swamp that falls into the first swamp of the Blackwater running N.
