He bought a house at 69 Lilac Street in New Haven and lots on Whitney Avenue, John was a kind, religious man with a heavy Irish brogue. His grandson Ray remembers them going on very long walks, during which they'd visit both churches and taverns! He lived with his daughter Mary for many years prior to his death. Hello,
I've been trying to find my gggrandmother, Mary Sullivan's family for years.
I only know that she was born in Co. Kerry 1857/8, her father was John and
mother was either Bridget or Kate. She arrived in Holyoke about 1870 from
census records and in the 1920 census she had a niece Mary, born in Irleand
    in 1885, living with her.
I have a great deal of information on Sullivans in Holyoke from 1850 onward,
including Holyoke City Directory pages, census records, including the 1855
and 1865 state census and naturaliation records.
Trying to find a Mary Sullivan in Holyoke is extremely difficult and I
thought perhaps you might have some connection or might be interested in the
    research I have.
    Thanks for reading.
    Peggy Lally Colleran
