DONAHO-Lois Ella Anderson Donaho, of Floresville completed her faith journey and passed to the love and peace of Christ on December 8, 1999. She was born in Bexar County on June 8k, 1910. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Floresville, TX. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother, loving grandmother, and sweet friend to us all. She loved her church and served it faithfully. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe C. Donaho of Floresville, and is survived by her daughter Jo Carolyn Hierholzer and son-in-law LTC (Ret) Otto J. Hierholzer of Floresville, three grandson, Hugh Donaho Hierholzer, of Floresville, Chris Carroll Hierholzer and wife Sandra of Bay City, TX and Kirk Anderson Hierholzer and wife Aubrey of Lompoc, CA; a great-grandson, Christopher Charles Hierholzer, and a great-granddaughter Natalie Jo Hierholzer of Bay City, TX. Brother J.H. Anderson Jr. and sisters, Mrs. Marry (Jonnie) Staggs and Miss Marjorie Anderson of Stockdale; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Lois graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1927, attended San Antonio Junior College, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Texas University at San Marcos. She taught in public schools for 22 years and taught Sunday School classes for 33 years. She loved her church and at the time of her death had been a member of First Baptist Church, Floresville for 68 years. She was a member of the Tuesday Musical Club and Order of the Eastern Star. Lois' greatest love was her family and home. Thomas Jefferson wrote, "The happiest moments of my life have been those which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family." This quote cold have been written especially for this lovely, loving lady. Her family will greatly miss her but we all will take strength in I CORINATHIANS 2:9; "No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." Visitation will be held after 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 12, 1999 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 13, 199 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 4th and B Streets, Floresville, TX followed by internment in Floresville City Cemetery.
