Name spelled as ROBINSON in bios in Hill's 1881 History

?Workman Family History? quotes from ?A History of Knox County? giving date of birth for Solomon as 1771 and for Rebecca as 1773. This differs from both census and tombstones. [NB: Actually, Solomon's bio gives the dates 1871 and 1873, respectively, with date of marriage of 1801 or 1802. The errata pages at the end of the book, however, correct these dates to 1781 and 1783. None of these agree with what is shown on current tombstones, i.e., 1779 for both.]

Solomon and Rebecca were probably married in Maryland, remained there for a short time, then relocated to Harrison County, OH. In 1811 they moved to Knox County, building a log home in Union Township and remained for over 50 years. He moved to Mount Vernon (Clinton Township) shortly before his death.

I am not related to most of these people, but rather I am attempting a genealogical history of an area. All sources included. NOTE: I do not follow families beyond their first "stop" after leaving Knox Co, although I will frequently add notes as to where they went.
