    Aaron D. Kanagy, 95, formerly of Shawnee Drive, Belleville, died at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at the Valley View Retirement Community, in Belleville.
    Born Nov. 16, 1910, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Jonathan D. and Mary M. (Yoder) Kanagy. His wife, Irene G. (Ross) Kanagy, preceded him in death on May 26, 1997.
    Surviving are his children, Mrs. Gary (Verna) Moist, Reedsville, Ronald Kanagy and wife Regina, Centre Hall, Mrs. Linus (Darlis) Sharp, Belleville, A. Dale Kanagy and wife Wilma, Meridian, Miss., Mrs. Stephen (Phyllis) Mitchell, Reedsville, Mrs. John M. (Sharon) Byler Jr., Mill Creek, Duane Kanagy and wife Beth, Gettysburg, Darrel Kanagy and wife Megan, Melbourne, Fla.; brother Jonathan D. Kanagy, Belleville; sisters Verna M. Peachey, Belleville, Amanda E. Kanagy, Belleville; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Salina Z. Peachey, Amandus B. Kanagy, Elizabeth M. Yoder, Mary E. Peachey; an infant brother on March 11, 1903; daughter Theresa Marie Kanagy, in 1945, and a son, Gene Davis Kanagy, in 1949.
    He was a retired farmer. a member of the Barrville Mennonite Church and a former member of the Gideons.
    His service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, at Valley View Chapel, Belleville, with his nephew, the Rev. George Yoder officiating.
    A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the Valley View Chapel. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Barrville Mennonite Church, 48 Barrville Mountain Road, Reedsville, PA 17084.
    Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, is in charge of arrangements.
