State of Louisiana Parish of S. Landry
Know all men by these presents that Ursin Manuel fils of the State of Louisiana and Parish of St. Landry as principal and Achille Dupre are firmlybound unto Adolphe Garriques clerk of the District Court in and for the Parish of St. Landry in the sum of Thirteen hundred dollars, for the payment of whichwell and truly to be made they bind themselves, their heirs executors and administrators jointly and Severally.
In witness whereof they have hereunto signed at Opelousas this twenty ninth day of September A. D. 1851.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Ursin Manuel fils has been appointed administrator of the Estate of Ursin Manuel pere and Sophie P. B. Desmaret his wife, late of said Parish both decd. Now if the said Ursin Manuel fils Shall well and faithfully Said Estates, render a just account thereof and pay over the sums when thereunto lawfully required, and finally Shall do and perform all and Singular the duties & functions incumbent on him as administrator as aforesaid, according to Law, then the above obligation to be null & void, otherwise to remain in full force-

We the undersigned, heirs of the Estate of Ursin Manuel pTre and Sophie Desmarets, both late of Said parish deceased, do agree, that the property belonging to said Estates should be sold on the following terms and conditions, "to wit," The purchase money payable , in two equal annual instalments [sic] from the first of April next (1852) but all sums of ten dollars and under, payable, at the first [term?] and over ten dollars as above stated.

DISTRICT COURT Parish of St. Landry Caroline M. SINGLETON wife, &c., vs. S. D. ALLIS her husband. No.8188.
In this case by reason of the law and evidence being in favor of Plaintiff, Caroline M. SINGLETON wife of Sebastian D. ALLIS, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the Plaintiff be separated in property from her said huband, that the community heretofore existing between them be dissolved, that she have judgement against him for the sum of two thousand three hundred dollars, with interest at five per cent per annum from date hereof, that her legal mortgage and privilege be maintained and confirmed as follows, vis: On the sum of eight hundred dollars, from the seventh day of April, A. D., one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, on five hundred dollars from the sixteenth of May, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three, and from the seventeenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six, on one thousand dollars, and that Defendant pay the costs of this suit.
