  • ID: I2787
  • Name: Elizabeth Nigh
  • Name: Elizabeth Nye
  • Sex: F
  • Change Date: 31 DEC 2008
  • Note:
Assimilating the census data for Adam and Elizabeth it appears that they had 7 children 4 of whom were deceased with no heirs by 1867 at Elizabeth's death. Below is my guess of birth years:
1 son born 1820 Lemuel? died after 1840 before 1867 without heirs.
1 daughter born 1823 died before 1840 or was married and died without heirs before 1867.
1 daughter born 1828 Anne Mildred Bauman Pearce
1 son born 1831 Albid Nigh Bauman
    1 son born 1833 Lemon D. Bauman
1 daughter born 1835 Moletta ? died before 1867 without heirs
1 son born 1838 William? died before 1867 without heirs.

There was a Lemuel or Samuel in the 1860 Slave Schedule who owned 4 slaves. In 1864 there was a Daniel Lemuel who purchased 40 acres in Caddo.

In 1850 a Wm Bauman owned 2 slaves in Caddo, LA. In 1860 a Wm Bauman 26 years old was a grocery merchant and born in MO lived near Adam.

Moletta married in 1850 and Adam paid bond with A.C.Pearce signing as a witness.
