Name: Joe Keithley
Sex: M
Change Date: 17 MAY 2008
Birth: 08 OCT 1853 in Wisconsin 2 1 3 4 5

Death: 14 FEB 1911 in 401 Connor, Joplin, Jasper, Missouri 7

Note: Joseph Keithley sold eighty acres of land in Section 23, Fairview Township, Fulton County to a James W. Berkey before 1908.
In 1878 there was a Joseph Keithley who lived in Jackson Township, Iowa in Sec. 26 and was a farmer. His post office was Central City. 8
Note: I do not know who the mother is for Joseph's children. According to Violet's death certificate, her mother's maiden name was Jester. Sarah indicated in 1900 that she had 3 children and only 1 was living (but Arthur and Susanna were living in 1900) From the land purchases that Joseph made I know that he was married about 1880 to a Martha Ann, she may be the mother of several of the children. According to the 1900 Census Eva, Leo and Violet's father was born in WI and mother in OH. Arthur and Susanna father born in IL and mother in KY. In 1900 Mabel and Albert were not present.
Note: According to his headstone he was a member of the Woodmen of the World.

According to the 1900 Census Eva and Leo's parents were born in the same states. Arthur and Susanna are listed as Joseph's children but the birthplace of their parents doesn't match. The census indicates that their father was born in Illinois and their mother was born in Kentucky. Joseph's second wife Sarah was born in Missouri. In 1900 Joseph, Sarah, Eva, Leo, Arthur, Susanna and uncle W.R. were living together.
