Note: Adam received a land grant for the north west quarter of the south west quarter of section nineteen in township sixteen north of range four west of the third meridian in the district of lands subject to sale at Springfield, Illinois containing forty acres and eighty two hundredths of an acre. The grant certificate was signed on October 1, 1834 by Andrew Jackson. Later Adam Bauman was the grantor for land (in Book F page 151-152) and the grantee was Joseph Klein. 7 8
