    Kirkton Hall came into possession of the Stratton's through the marriage of Isabel, heiress of William Loudham. The eldest son of this marriage Walter de Stratton, d. seized of the Manor, 1392. He was the immediate progenitor of the Stratton family of Shortley, Suffolk, England, who held the Manor until abt 1627. Walter De Stratton, will proved 1392: buried Levington Church. Married Cicely, executrix to her Husbands will. Records call hin heir of Sir William Loudham, whose daughter Isabel married unknown Stratton.
