      They were part of the 1847 emigration subsidized by the townspeople of Schwenningen, on the first ship that arrived in NYC.

      Upon arrival they went to Albany, NY.
      Jaeckle (on same ship with Gulas) also ends up in Albany. (Descendant and researcher Warren Atchison has a copy of a translation of the 12 April 1847 passport/permission to leave document.)

      They were both deceased by the 1907 deposition of their daughter Catharina.
