The funeral of the late Russel Odell took place yesterday to Mayhew's cemetery. The funeral service was read at the house by Rev. G. J. Kerr. Mrs. Odell's condition is very low and shows no signs of improvement.

Elsie and Russell lived at Bothwell, and there is a Newbury nearby, which is
probably the "New Berry" you give as a place of marriage for Ruth and Allen.
Just a guess. You also show a place of birth for one of Ruth's children as
"Thomasville, Ontario." Do you suppose that could be "Thamesville," a
nearby town?? Another guess.
Russel (that's the way the name is spelled on most of my records, though I'd
guess again that "Russell" is correct) was born ca. 1815-16 in Kent Co,
Ontario, died 26 October 1898 at Thamesville, Kent Co, Ontario (death record
#11895). He is buried at Mayhew Cemetery, Thamesville. He was
Presbyterian, a laborer, died of typhoid fever, an illness of 26 days. In
the 1861 Ontario census Russell lives at Mosa, Middlesex Co, ON. In 1871 he
is at Camden Tp, Kent Co--maybe the same place as in 1861--haven't checked
that out.
