1791 Catholic marriage record for "Arnoldus Jacobi Zegers" says he resided in Nistelrode.

1794, 1796, 1798, 1800, 1804 baptisms of children all have Arnold or Arnoldi Zegers without a patronymic.

1836 Oss death record #91- Arnoldus Zeegers died 27 Dec 1836 in Oss, age 72. Born in Nistelrode, son of Geert Zeegers (deceased) and Allegonda (unknown), spouse of Anna Maria van Loon. Reported by Wilhelmus Zeegers, 38, son of deceased and Johannes Schuurmans, age 50(?). (So birthyear is 1836-72=1764).

So - the marriage record has "Arnoldus Jacobi" Zegers (implying his father's name is Jacob) and the death record says father's name is Geert. But the Nistelrode baptismal records don't have any baptisms for an Arnold or Aart Zegers in the 1760's.

However, there is this baptismal record in the Nistelrode Catholic church records (LDS film #0112184): Arnoldus, son of Jacobi Arnoldi Peters and Gerarda Dirckx was baptized 27 Oct 1765.

But there is no Zegers or Zeegers name in that record. The parents names don't match those on the death record, either, but the death record information may not be reliable since it was not necessarily provided beforehand by the deceased.

Information provided by Hans van der Wielen has Arnold Zegers baptized 27-10-1765 with parents Jacobus Arnoldi Peters ZEGERS and Gertrudis Theodori GERITS. Dirckx (Dirk) is a variant of Theodori so this is, indeed, a match.

In 1796, Gerardus Zegers was the sponsor for the baptism of son Gerardus. Possible brother?

Need to look at Nistelrode records to find more children of Jacobus Arnoldi Peters Zegers...
