    Birth info from civil birth record in Oss written in French. The declarator was "Guillaume Gerard Ceelen van Ussen Cultivateur". Guillaume in French is Willem in Dutch, and Cultivateur is his occupation (farmer). The birth of "Michel" (the French form of the Dutch "Machiel") was registered on 13 Sep. The mother was "Wilhelmina Smits". Signatures as the bottom were "Willem van Ussen" and "Geardus van Ussen", both with a little "v" over the U.

    Marriage record says birthdate is 12 Sep 1812.

    Death info from son Cornelis' marriage certificate, but is also in Oss records.

    Machiel was the only child born after the official change of the family name from Ceelen to Van Ussen on 27 Dec 1811 to be registered with the new surname.
