Baptismal record from St. Joseph's Church, Oconto, 11 Jul 1865 for Anna Gertrude Van Ussen:     F: Cornelius Van Ussen     M: Wilhelmina     GF: Gerard Schuurman     GM: Mary Van Ussen
The godparents are very interesting. Gerard Schuurman(s) was Wilhelmena's brother, who was living next door with the Van Abels in the 1870 census. Mary Van Ussen could be Anna Maria Van Ussen, a sister of Cornelis. No proof yet.
Burial record at St. Joseph's Church (now Holy Trinity) in Oconto states that Anna was born 4-5-1865 and died 12-5-1881. No cause of death and no county death record.
The Oconto County Reporter had no obituary, but there were stories at the end of 1881 and start of 1882 about people having smallpox, so I wonder if that was her cause of death.
She is buried with her parents, Cornelis and Hermina, in the Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Their previously unmarked gravesite is now marked by a grave marker installed in the summer of 2000.
