Mrs. Sophia Bock, mother of Maynard Bock, died at the residence of her son here last Saturday morning after a long, lingering illness. She was a sufferer from dropsy. Deceased was a little over 72 years of age and had been a resident of this county about 23 years. Funeral services were held from the Catholic church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Slatinsky, of Browerville. Deceased was the mother of another son, Lee, who resides out in Montana.

In Long Prairie, Minn., Saturday, Sept. 22, 1894, at the residence of her son, Maynard, Mrs. Sophia Bock. Aged 72 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Deceased was born in Baden, Germany and came to this country(sic) in 1850, taking up her residence in Canada until the spring of 1871 when she moved with her family to Todd County. She had been a sufferer from consumption nearly forty years, and of late had been afflicted with dropsy, and last Saturday morning at six o'clock a.m., she gave up the struggle for life and passed on to the other world. Two children survive her, Maynard and Lee, the latter now living in the Black Hills. The funeral occured from the Catholic church here last Sunday afternoon, Rev. M. C. Slatinsky, of Browerville, officiating.

Lee's whereabouts are not consistent (Montana or Black Hills?).
