The passenger list for the Argentinus, of the J. & J. Cooke Line, sailing in 1857 (no specific date given) from Londonderry to Quebec has an entry for Mahon, Margaret, age 22, of the District of Omagh, Tyrone, along with Samuel, age 6m. 1896 death record in St. Louis county, MN, says age 59, parents Thomas and Margaret Toner.

Ontario census implies born in 1837. Death record also implies born in 1837. Grave marker birth year is 1839. But since the marker was made after 1944, many years after her death, I'm assuming a mistake was made at that time and therefore, I'm going with the 1837 birth year.

Crow Wing County death record for son Robert says mother's maiden name was Maguire. But Margaret's own death record, and that of son Thomas, indicate maiden name was Toner, which was confirmed by the marriage record discovered Sep 2000.

Buried in Oneota Cemetery in the family plot of son, George Maghan. Marker says "MARGARET / 1839 - 1896 / MOTHER".
